Message
Our message is that medication, like any other product, is produced for profit and marketted to sell. It is important for us to be well-informed rather than passive in our consumption of advertised medication. Our Key Messages include:
1. Gardisil is Not Safe - Women should consider the facts before they get vaccinated with gardasil because the vaccine is extremely new and an overwhelming number of adverse reactions (even deaths) have already been reported. It has been shown to increase the risk of cancer in women who already have HPV.
2. Research Your Drugs - Commercials do not provide viewers with all the necessary information about a drug. Even doctors may fail to tell a patient all the risks associated with a perscription. As a result, many people remain unaware of the health risks they take by consuming perscribed drugs.
Objectives
We hope to raise awareness about the health risks associated with the Gardasil vaccine. We are trying to create more aware and pro-active consumers who research drugs before taking them.
Goals
We hope to save women from the possible adverse reactions associated with the Gardasil vaccine.
Audience
Information about Gardasil is mainly directed at women (Gardasil's teen and young adult target demographic) as well as parents who are thinking of getting their daughters vaccinated. Information about the importance of researching drugs is directed to the general teenage and adult public.
Strategy
We intend to reach our audience by saturating social networks and key public areas with our message using principles of viral marketting.
Tactics
We will send out informational letters on Facebook urging the spread of our message. We will also make a group with all our information.
We will compile a video to account for all the information omissed in Gardasil's commercials and post it on YouTube.
We will set up a website to poll the amount of women who have received our message and object to the vaccine. The website will also contain a spot for users to post any relavant information and links.
We will design posters to be displayed at schools, gyms, university residences, summer camps, bathroom stalls, etc.
We will create a brochure that will be distributed within schools to parents at P.T.A meetings
Measurement
We will measure the response to our message using our the poll on our website
We will check feedback on our facebook group
We will keep track of the views of our video on YouTube
